Council on Wage and Price Stability Requests Cost and Market Information for Dowgard Antifreeze

Michael H. Moskow, Director of the Council on Wage and Price Stability, said today that the Council “was concerned that Dow Chemical Corporation’s increase in the wholesale price of Dowgard antifreeze by 60 cents, or 19.2 percent, to $3.72 may be too high. We are therefore requesting cost and market condition information from Dow regarding this price action. We are particularly interested in whether or not Dow has set a price in anticipation of cost increases to be incurred in 1976.
