Comments of the Council on Wage and Price Stability: Before the Food and Drug Administration: Whole Blood and Red Blood Cells

The Council on Wage and Price Stability (the “Council”) hereby submits its comments on the proposal of the Commissioner of Food and Drugs (FDA) to adopt regulations to require that whole blood and red blood cells bear: (l) a statement distinguishing blood from volunteer donors and blood from paid donors. and (2) a warning that blood collected from paid donor’s is associated with a higher risk of transmitting hepatitis.
