Vaugh C. Williams Resigns as General Counsel

William Lilley III, Acting Director of the Council on Wage and Price Stability, announced today that Vaughn C. Williams, who has been General Counsel of the agency since December 1974, has resigned to practice law in New York City.

In commenting on the resignation, Mr. Lilley said, “Mr. Williams played a key and significant role in the development of the Council, its legislative mandate and the implementation of our program which reviews proposed Federal regulations. He will be missed.”
