Dear Mr. Miller: Your letter of December 7, 1976, expressed disappointment with BEA’s economic impact study of the architectural glazing standards because it did not provide estimates of the benefits of the proposed standards in terms of injury reduction. We have made estimates of such benefits as noted on page 6 of our economic impact statement. Cost-benefit ratios have been calculated by the CPSC and are available in the public record. They are contained in a report dated October 10, 1976, “Analysis of Product Costs and Injury Costs for Architectural Glazing Standards.” …
