Before the Consumer Product Safety Commission: Power Lawn Mowers

The Council on Wage and Price Stability (Council) hereby submits its comments on a proposal by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) to establ ish a consumer product safety standard for power lawn mowers (42 FR 23052). The proposed standard is a modification of one submitted to the Commission by Consumers Union (CU) of United States, Inc. The standard, which would become effective two years after promulgation, applies to all power mowers designed for consumer use which are sold within the United States.
