Council Opposes Higher Bus Rates

The Council on Wage and Price Stability today opposed additional increases in intercity bus fares proposed by Greyhound, Trailways and the smaller intercity bus carriers. The Council stated that bus rates have been too high in the past, due partly to permissive regulation by the ICC.
