Before the Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division: Exemptions From the Fair Labor Standards Act for Executive Administrative and Professional Employment

On April 7, 1978 the Hage and Hour Division of the Department Labor proposed an increase in the salary-test levels for exemption of bona fide executive, administrative and professional employees. This situation would increase the number of employees covered by the minimum wage and overtime compensation requirements of the Fair Labor Standards
Act. A public hearing has been held on these proposals and the comment period has been extended to June 10, 1978.
