Before the Interstate Commerce Commission: General Increases in Rates and Charges Pacific Inland Tariff Bureau

The Council on Wage and Price Stability (Council) hereby submits its comments to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC or Commission) in opposition to the proposed general increases in rates and charges sought by the Pacific Inland Tariff Bureau (PITB). We oppose the proposed increases because they appear to be out of compliance with the President’s anti-inflation program, and we ask the Commission to suspend the rate proposal pending further investigation.
